Director, Practice Management & Mentorship, & Sector Lead - Utilities & Renewables

I am an Electrical Engineer with more than 30 years of experience. After completing my Engineering degree at the University of KwaZulu Natal, Durban, South Africa in 1985, I worked as an EIT, Engineer, Project Manager, Air Quality Consultant, Operations Manager and General Manager. I've worked in nuclear power generation, mining and mineral beneficiation (gold, platinum and platinum group metals, base metals, ferro-alloys, vanadium, titanium and carbon), petro-chemical, pulp and paper, chemical, ceramics, heat treatment, hazardous waste and environmental service industries. I came to Canada in 2012 to continue to develop my career.

I joined Terracon in 2018, initially as the General Manager in the RMWB, then transitioning in 2022 to Director of HSE and Technical Proficiency, Director of Operations for the RMWB in 2023 and most recently as our Director, Practice Management and Mentorship including Sector Lead for Utilities and Renewables. I am a member of the senior management team and work closely with clients, Operations, People and Culture and all support functions to ensure the safe and efficient of all operations in the region. I am passionate about mentorship, leadership and employee development.

While not working, I enjoys DIY projects, fishing and hunting.
