Jeff Martin
Operations Manager, Syncrude

As Operations Manager for Terracon’s Syncrude team, Jeff Martin leads a multidisciplinary group of geoscientists, engineers, and civil technologists. He serves as the primary point of contact for client operations in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo, ensuring seamless coordination between client expectations and project execution. With a strong background in drilling and geoscience, Jeff applies his practical field expertise and technical insight to support safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery. He also fosters a collaborative team culture, mentors junior staff, and drives continuous improvement across operations.

With a professional background in geotechnical and environmental services, Jeff brings extensive experience in drilling oversight, geotechnical instrumentation, soil and groundwater monitoring, and construction quality assurance. He has led teams in the planning and execution of complex field programs throughout the oilsands region, focusing on safety, quality, and operational efficiency. He is a registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) in Alberta and holds a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Alberta.

Outside of work, Jeff enjoys restoring and maintaining a classic car, playing golf, and traveling.
