Business Development Strategist

As Business Development Strategist at Terracon, Farasat focuses on identifying and creating long-term opportunities that drive growth and value across the organization. He builds and nurtures strong relationships with clients, helping position Terracon as a trusted partner in geotechnical and materials testing services. His strategic approach includes market research, business expansion into untapped sectors, and representing Terracon at industry events.

Farasat holds a master’s degree in geoscience from the University of Alberta and has experience in geoscience and geotechnical field quality control. He has since transitioned into business development, specializing in client prospecting, lead generation, proposal development, and marketing strategy across multiple sectors including transportation, infrastructure, oil & gas, and municipal development.

Notable contributions include leading Terracon’s brand refresh, redesigning corporate marketing materials, directing the website redevelopment project, and launching visual storytelling through photography and videography campaigns. He also plays a pivotal role in AI tools integration to streamline proposal development and enhance business development efficiency.

Farasat is a passionate golfer and enjoys the game both personally and as a way to build relationships with clients. He’s a lifelong learner with a love for hands-on projects, especially in his yard during summer. He also serves as an active community volunteer, leading a team at his local mosque.
