We are proud to announce 3 Million Lost Time Injury Free Hours!
Since 2015, Terracon has had no work-related incidents that resulted in a worker being unable to return to work. It is a remarkable achievement given most of these hours are in very hazardous conditions on construction and industrial sites. It is only through every employee's personal commitment that we can celebrate this achievement. Also a big thank you to all our clients and subcontractors, who partner with us each day to create a safe work environment, while also challenging themselves and us to be better.
Today we recognize our collective hard work and success, but there is much more to do to create a safe work environment that recognizes not just the physical, but also the psychological safety risks in the work environment. We remain vigilant at every moment of our jobs, and place the safety and well being of ourselves and our colleagues ahead of everything we do.
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Jake Rubenstein has been appointed as Terracon's President & Chief Executive Officer position.
Jake's career at Terracon dates back to 2006 when he relocated from the East Coast to join the Fort McMurray team as a Civil Engineering Technologist. Since then, Jake has successfully grown his career in various leadership roles across the organization, including Operations Manager, GM, VP, Operations and, more recently, the role of Chief Operating Officer. Jake is also a member of the Board of Directors for Terracon Geotechnique and the Terracon Infinity Partnership.
With this well-deserved promotion, Jake will take on an expanded role, driving Terracon's growth and success. With Jake's leadership and experience, we are confident that Terracon is well-positioned to execute our strategic objectives and build meaningful careers for our employees that align with our SITE values.
Terracon is pleased to announce that we are pre-qualified by Alberta Transportation & Economic Corridors (TEC) to provide Quality Assurance Testing (Grading, Base, Asphalt) on provincial highway projects. This is a significant milestone as we continue to expand our infrastructure service capabilities in the support of road and bridge construction across Alberta. Stay tuned as we announce further expansion of our service offerings in this sector.
