Terracon awarded with the Syncrude President’s Award for 2010 Contractor Safety Performance
Terracon was the recipient of the Best Small Company President’s Award for 2010 from Syncrude Canada Ltd. The award presentation was made at a HS&E luncheon at Mildred Lake on April 14, 2011, along with HS&E awards presented to three other companies. Terracon thanks Syncrude Canada management for the opportunity to build and steward its HS&E program and culture with Syncrude’s collaboration and encouragement.
Terracon awarded Best Small and Medium Employer
In 2011, Terracon was honoured to have been chosen one of the 50 Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada. Sponsored by Queen’s Centre for Business Venturing (QCBV) at Queen’s School of Business in association with Hewitt Associates, a global human resources consulting company, the Best Small & Medium Employers in Canada study asks employees for feedback on a variety of parameters including safety. The award is an invaluable measure of employee engagement, and gives employers direct feedback on the intellectual and emotional commitment employees have in their workplace.
