The Role:

This is a unique and tremendous opportunity for a highly technical individual with creative thinking to become part of a high-performing technical team! The successful candidate will act as the technical lead for Terracon’s water and environmental related projects. This position is responsible for using standard engineering methods and techniques in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed testing analysis, design or computational methods.

We provide challenging and exciting project assignments to our engineers and empower them to exceed client expectations.  Our engineers are responsible for using their education, experience and passion for engineering to plan, design, investigate, analyze, report and provide recommendations to our clients.

This role will report to the Manager of Geology, Water and Environmental Engineering, and work closely with other engineering teams and assigned Project Managers on multidisciplinary projects. This opportunity is based in downtown Calgary, Alberta and will support projects across Western Canada.

Geotechnical Performance Engineer

The primary role will deliver tailings and geotechnical engineering support to our client. Civil Technologist

Location:

Fort McMurray AB.

The Role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced and entrepreneurial individual to join our growing team as a Civil Technologist for a variety of projects based in Fort McMurray, Alberta. You’ll be able to apply your experience in soils engineering, drill monitoring and soil description, construction monitoring, QA/QC monitoring techniques, site investigations, foundation inspections, soils and concrete lab testing for a variety of clients.  This is a field based project positon, including possible mobile soils and/or concrete lab testing, with varying work locations and schedules which requires close attention to safety and excellent verbal and written communication skills. These temporary positions are located in Fort McMurray and would require relocation for the duration of the contract. These are NOT fly-in/fly-out positions.

You will take ownership over project execution including safety and quality performance.  This includes the prudent monitoring and evaluation of project milestones and costs.  You must develop a rapport with new and existing clients by effectively communicating the superior service and results that our teams provide.
